  2. XRemote is indeed distributed by NCD.  I know of two versions.  There is 
  3. one version for lan connected machines (packetdriver driven).  Wether it 
  4. can run on top of winsock, I'm not sure.  I have tried the other version 
  5. that I know of, which runs over its own serial link.  The program 
  6. includes a serial connection window, which allows you to dial into a 
  7. remote host (which was a unix host for myself).  Then, you run the (unix) 
  8. binaries Xremote/xinitremote, which connects via the serial line, to your 
  9. serially linked machine.
